I made this for you, Shannon

By in making stuff is good

He likes blue, but the darker blue was kind of ugly, so I went with this sky blue alpaca/poly blend, same like my hat:

blue and brown

It’s a slightly different pattern, but it’s easier and faster than my hat, I think this whole hat only took about 2 hours total. And won’t we be so cute jumping around in the park with Daniel in our matchy match hats?

Surprising to see Caitlin back with Shannon after all the vitriolic lies and filth he spewed on iam about her.

Nice work on the hat, Caitlin, hopefully Shannon has taken off his tinfoil model for the time being.

Memory Babe: I am fully aware of what you are talking about. I wasn’t going to moderate your comment because I am really trying to keep this blog as positive as possible, (in fact my mom loves it for this very reason) but I also felt like it might be time to face this topic.

I did not re enter this relationship blindly. I was kept informed of negative things written about me on iam by close friends and I always felt sad about that, but I also knew that there was pressure and influence behind those posts. Not that I feel like it’s an excuse, but I have forgiven Shannon for what happened in the past. I agonized over it, even in the beginning when we were rekindling our friendship via email, constantly, going back and forth, back and forth over whether or not I could even handle that much. Our shared history, love and respect for each other helped ease that decision.

But I have forgiven. It’s part of our past. Everyone makes mistakes, some people just do it way more publicly than others.

And I suppose I will take your post as a supportive message for me, which is nice. Thanks for the compliments, would you like a hat too? I’d sell them but I find it’s more rewarding to figure out a trade.

    Hello Miss Caitlin

So, I dont know you, you dont know me, i randomly ended up on your blog, i think it’s why i love blogs, you always end up reading interesting things.

Anyway… what i wanted to say is that i found your reply to the first comment, awsome… seriously it made my day… i dont know you but i think it’s the kind of answer that shows what kind of person you are.

And the trade thing… that’s awsome, i wish we would live in a society where we you trade things and skills more often…it’s always more rewarding this way.

    have a good day!

These are really cute, though I am not a hat wearer generally, do you do bags/purses???

I can trade you stuff from uk, maybe sock monsters??? there are pics on my blog.

  7. Caitlin Jane says:

I used to make bags and purses, but I don’t have the room here…which is a piss poor excuse, I know. I also packed up all fabric and sent it to storage, so I haven’t got any of that either. I haven’t tried crocheting a bag yet, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible, right?

I have to admit that I like your art! Your sock monsters are great, and I love all the knitting you do. I used to knit, but I find it’s so time consuming, so hard, haha, whiiiiine!

Could I do a hat that has openings for dreaded (is that right??) ponytails? That might be cool…

  8. Caitlin Jane says:

Oh, and ps, I wish I could tap dance. Seriously, it’s been a life long dream to meet someone who would be willing to learn with me. Shannon’s told me in no uncertain terms that he would never, ever, EVER, in a million years take tap with me. Men.

  9. darcy says:

LOL now Shannon tap dancing would be worth seeing!

A dreads hat would be great, just needs to be roomy, I don’t have any in at the moment but will probably be getting them back in for the winter. It would need 2 holes in the top, one each side as I tend to wear them in 2 bunches rather than 1 ponytail.

let me know what you fancy having in return.

At the moment I am making a batch of 10 sock monsters that are going on a lorry of aid, being driven from the uk to Bulgaria to an orphanage, one of my friends is the driver and asked me to make them. They should be all done in the next couple of weeks.

  10. Caitlin Jane says:

    Marjorie, thanks.

I was already having a great day, but you just improved it. For real, thanks.

    ps who’s ‘babe’?

  11. Marjorie says:

  12. gaz says:

caitlin, love the blog, love the hat’s. if i was good at anything with my hands apart from coaching and dropping stuff id offer up a trade, hahaha.

  13. Marjorie says:

  14. gaz says:
