Dolly quilt

By in babies, crochet, making stuff is good

Small projects can be so satisfying. This quilt used up a small pile of collected scraps and one fat quarter for the back and binding. I used small pieces of batting, zigged together.

It’s such an easy project. The Fabricland at North York Centre is closing and has lots of interesting things on sale so I picked up some gridded interfacing, and used the tutorial from Oh Fransson, one of my favourite quilting blogs. This quilt is now living with Ari’s cousin who turned 4 recently!

Clare! I so wish you had, it would have been fun and awkward! Were you taking Johanna’s class?

No, I was just there with my mom picking up some backing for my First Quilt :-). I think my mom pointed out the safety pins to you.

I remember! Your mom is so nice. Please let me know when your #1 is done, first quilts are super special. Also, LOVE the bird pics on your blog, but you could have predicted that, right?

Haha yeah she is nice :-). I’m hoping to have the quilt done by the 21st in time for my friend’s baby shower! The bird photos on the blog are my sister’s… I’m the crappy iPhone pictures haha :-). I’m Aardvark, she’s Donkey. She lives in Vancouver so we post daily to keep in touch better. I love logging in every day and seeing her awesome photos!
