Thanks for the comment, Erica. I think about community a lot, about what it means to go out and see people irl and interacting and all that stuff that the internet seems to cancel out. Ashley told me that the Amish don’t have phones not because they are anti-technology (which they are) but because they believe that face to face interaction is more important. And it’s true!

I’d also be happy to teach any person any of the skills that I have acquired but only irl.

I had more to type but I’m distracted by television, haha.

I have been creeping your blog for a while now and I wanted to let you know how cool I thought it is that you are promoting classes. I’ve recently taken a knitting course offered from my small community yarn and fabric store. I now strongly encourage people to learn from their peers. I spent too long trying to do magical crafty things without instruction, with so much frustration. Classes have really brought me to the next level. Your work is so fun to look at, keep posting!

wow, we seem to have simultaneous phases in crafting. I just crocheted a tiny pouch for which I now have to make a lining and I have to find a zipper that fits. THEN I have yet to learn how to sew it all together…
