Now I just need to actually take my bike outside…

I’ve been wanting to learn how to do that but was too shy to ever ask the usually intimidating bike peeps at other stores to show me. That’s right up the street from me, I will definitely be popping in…

In so many of those sort of places (tv/computer repair, garages, bike shops and physicians) I so often feel patronized as in “there, there, oh stupid one. We fix – you leave”. Thanks heavens there are people who look at the world quite differently. Works for bikes and zippers.
Can’t wait to get one of those zippy bags. Mumma, xoxo

This past weekend, a semi-acquaintance was encouraging me to attend a local Earn-A-Bike’s ladies night, and I’ve been seriously considering it. If you volunteer there a certain number of hours, they hook you up with a free bike. I don’t know how to ride a bike (oh, childhood…) but I figure they can help me out with that much-needed skill also.

And made me very jealous of the bike women there, I’d love to know how to fix useful things like bikes and help out others.
