Honestly, the one major thing I took away from my quilting class is to only buy what you actually need. She meant mostly for fabric (as we all know, a stash can quickly get out of control, that’s why I did the scrappy back-I didn’t want to buy MORE fabric and then store this stuff) but I think it applies to thread too.
