Shame I can’t knit – the squid is cute!

Cast on 2
P 2
k1,m1,k1
p3
k1,m1,k1,m1,k1
p5
k1, m1, k3, m1, k1
p7
(and so on until there are 21 stitches)
p21
k21
p21
k2tog, k2tog, k 15, ssk, ssk
p 17
k2tog, k13, ssk
p15
k15
p15
k15
(I don’t remember, do a couple rows, then after a knit row put the stitches onto dpn’s and k until the tube part is the same length as the fan or arrow shaped part and cast off)

Make 4 legs (they get folded in half) by doing a 3 stitch tube thing, what’s that called?, so that each leg is as long as the body or longer, I went by the length of my pinky finger but twice as long. The 2 clapper flapper long leg doo dads are like the top part, same type of increases, to 9 stitches and then decreased quickly to 3 and I used a crochet hook and single chained until they were longer than the legs. Then I sewed the legs in a bunch and attached them at the bottom of the squid, stuffed it with butter and garlic, oops, I mean with yarn snippings and sewed the top shut.

The eyes I attached at some point, obviously before any stuffing or sewing. I also had to block the top part, is that a taiL? because much like a real squid, it curled up on itself.

That’s not the best I can do, pattern wise, but I am still struggling to figure out how to blog on my ipad: it’s not really doable as far as I can tell, bum-hair. I’ll do a proper pattern soon. Maybe.

I mean, on this entry I know Twwly, my mom and sister and Jana. And I know Twwly and Jana because of the internet! So for me, it’s been a great way to make friends, it really can be-and is-a real community. I always try to be as real as possible online, I don’t want anyone to be surprised or, worse, disappointed when we do finally meet.
Which has totally happened. It’s like meeting famous people, they’re almost always shorter in real life and that can be a let down! HAHAHA!

I’d comment more, but it feels weird because you don’t know me! But I love your knitting (so want one of your hats!), and your recipes, and the rest…so please don’t stop :)

I’m sure when she calms down she’ll turn back to her normal colour of greyish white.

I’m so fed up with mailing things, I hate to admit it. I mailed something (wink wink) to Vancouver (WINK) a week ago last Friday, that’s 11 days ago, and according to the tracking number, it’s still sitting in Mississauga. I might not be the biggest fan of America (and, in fact, plan on never visiting again), but the postal service there puts ours to shame.

TO SHAME!

He looks like he is up to mischief, like sending derogatory emails to your friends from your account.
