I am in withdrawal! But darn if he isn’t the cutest thing to puke on me today, so I will let him steal my time/sleep/nutrients for now.

Your dollhouse advice is seriously good stuff. You sound as though you have done it with a toddler before.
I think I would get materials, show her the ‘how-to’s and then let her use her excellent toddler-y decorative tastes to create a masterpiece. Since we moved into our new apartment she has decorated one of our window sills with beautiful swirly circles, big and small, in a lovely shade of royal blue sharpie. She has a natural flair for design, I’d say.

I have pictures to put up, just haven’t gotten to it. but if good intentions were pieces of gold, I would be one rich pirate. Coming soon…

I wish I still had the one my uncle had made for me when I was younger so I could give it to you.

A duet dollhouse-like Shannon and Ari are doing-is fun too, but possibly more stressful and argument causing. There seems to be lots of debate over who’s done more work and what colour rooms are to be painted and whether or not toys are allowed inside yet. I think, especially with a toddler (uh, because they aren’t known for their rationality OR ability to sit and focus for more than 30 seconds) I’d let her carry the reins and direct everything, and then do whatever I want while she’s asleep. And then explain it in a way that makes her feel like it was all her own doing. I’d also say that making things that you don’t mind if they get wrecked is also a good thing. Don’t sew a beautiful little quilt because she will cut it in half at some point and you’ll cry.

You have inspired me! As soon as I regain some brain power (i.e. sleep) I think this would be a fantastic project for Ella and I to do together!

And I found a zombiewalk here! It happened the weekend Freddie was born, so we missed it. But next year we can be a zombie family hooray!
