However, I find the rampant prejudice and racism a la 1950s taints the beauty for me somewhat.

And I suppose you are right. I don’t miss Honest Ed’s nearly as much as I miss Ted’s Collision on college street.

While I haven’t been there, exactly, I took the train from London to Cornwall a few years ago and got to see a lot of the Southern coast of England and it’s all very beautiful.

When I lived near Honest Ed’s I was there a lot but as soon as I moved away from that ‘hood, I lost all interest in it.

A part of my heart, however, will forever be stuck in the mold infested walls of the grossly neglected, multi-roommate inhabiting house on Markham street where I lived in my previous life. Oh to be a stone’s throw from Honest Ed’s dust encrusted oddities and sniffing distance from the roasty aroma of the Moonbean cafe.
We are not too far from Dover, tis ’bout an hour’s drive to the east of us.

Bathurst car is slow and irregular and I’ve given up waiting outside Dee’s many times, speed walking to the subway instead.

I’m curious about what small town in England you live in. My family’s from Dover-ish.

I am mouth agape, jaw droppingly grossed out! Poop in the ball pit? I get grossed out enough by all the anonymous hair clumps in places like that, but the thought of my daughter happily chewing on a plastic ball with some other kid’s crap dried on there…well, I will never be able to let her play at Ikea and she will never know why.
Also, I miss the bathurst street car.

There are also a lot of diapers in those giant bins of those big yellow bags that you shop around in….choose a cart!

Or. Wait. No! Bad, it’s baaa-aa-aaaad.

The evangelical church, which, while I disagree wholeheartedly with organized religion in general, does a Wednesday night community dinner which I am considering volunteering for.

Ari says about Paradise “It’s the place where ladies dance without clothes.” How’d she know that??!
