I got this yarn in the mail (fishy wishy in a dishy, 105g, 400yds) yesterday from Seejayneknityarns. It is even prettier in real life, lemme tell you. The colours are crazy, now to decide what to do with it-and the other balls of yarn in my ever growing stash. I’m sure I will figure something delicious out.
I also spent 5 hours with Bill Baker yesterday working on my sleeve we started over 10 years ago. That was…fun? Maybe fun isn’t quite the word I am looking for-it was 2 hours of laying a stencil and drawing, 3 hours of tattooing. But I love Bill’s company and because we haven’t sat together in so long it was nice to catch up on all the local gossip. Is there a tattooer that doesn’t love gossip? If so, I don’t want to know about it.
I love the morning after scrub in the shower, pure bliss. There are 2 spots that are-unfortunately-lymphing still and despite my best, repeated efforts, still are gooping up. UGH. Back to the bathroom with me.

Hmmmm, for some reason I’m feeling that as a pair of mittens. Maybe some pattern work with black yarn as the contrast to make the colours pop?

Kuniyoshi cats, yes, and the big one is a portrait of the late, great Lychee, Dita’s cat. And now waves, fish and a couple sail boats. And soreness.

Yes, Kyle (?), it was in Kensington. I love those 2, it’s fun being with both of them. I forced Daniel to tell the greatest stripper story of all time and everyone laughed their heads off. I have known wee Daniel since he was 17, bless him. It was a picture of him in not many clothes that graced my going away party cake.
haha i’ll have to ask him about that one. he’s got a ton of great stories. most people wouldn’t expect it because he seems so quiet haha. he’s been tattooing me since i was 17 or 18, 6 years now i guess? we’re working on my front as a coverup right now actually.

yeah the sternum is incredibly painful. i have a pretty high pain tolerance, but that pretty much ended my session for the day.
