Rose really is a beauty, it’s true. If she weren’t so fat (not my fault!) and so unpleasant in general (she won’t be picked up and won’t sit on a lap-ever-she also has terrible breath) (and is almost 16, or maybe already is 16). To be fair, her social problems only really started after her sister, the Alpha kitty, died. Poor old Rose no longer knew what to do with herself, when to eat, where to sleep, what to look at. So she asks a LOT of questions.
Is that the same Rose you posted a picture of right after you moved into your last place- when she squished herself into the tiny space between a flower pot and a wall, trying to hide? (That’s one of my favorite cat pictures on all the internet!)
Same old Rose, Talby. And I just spent 45 minutes searching my OWN blog to find that picture and came up empty handed. I think it’s Rose hiding in our bedroom closet, squished in.
Well, no offense to either of you, but I can’t find that picture anywhere-I went through my entire file of photos from the weeks before we moved to that apartment to the weeks after and nothing. So. I don’t know what to think!
Haha- Well, the blog circles ’round these parts are pretty tight, so maybe kat and I both saw it on Shannon’s blog?
I only remember a poor kitty, looking desperately like she was trying to blend right into the floor, and seemed *very* unhappy that the photographer had sought her out in a moment of such indignity.
Awful. Poor old Rose. And honestly, she’s not that miserable any more. She has her special hidey-hole and we all know not to bother her when she’s in it-unlike that apartment, she had no where to go. It’s a terrible picture and makes me really sad to see her in such a state.
I’ve had a couple of those. Look a lot like Korats.

Ooh, and her eyes do glow green at night, that’s true too, but she sheds like crazy.
I’ve actually considered saving her sheddings and knitting a new cat.
Gosh. I’ve had a glass of wine and I really miss Seamus, her sister.
I have a table loom I could send you…
tell Rose that Auntie Megan sends her love!!

No, there was a balcony picture. I remember it too.

I think Shannon posted that pic on his blog. I remember him commenting your cat was “shy” or something.
It’s so awful I am pretty loath to put this link here but since it’s been discussed so deeply:

Awww- this picture is a lot sadder than I remember it (though- gotta admit- it still gave me a chuckle). I’m glad she’s happier now.
