Done, haha, DONE!

By in crochet

I finished my baktus scarf. I think I love it. Or it might just be that Misti Alpaca yarn is the yummiest yarn I’ve ever worked with. It’s wonderful. Jana, the scale made NO difference, haha, as you can see in the picture, I still have a ball of yarn- bigger than a golf ball -left. I have no idea how that happened, apart from guessing my scale is a piece of crap. It couldn’t be me, right? My next baktus (which has already been started) I am doing a slip stitch purlwise at the end of each row, it makes a nice little detail on the edge.

scarf, yarn, hat, plastic head, Ashleigh’s red boots.

In celebration, I returned to Romni and picked up another skein of the Misti Alpaca hand painted sock yarn in a more orangey colourway. The nice lady that works there admired my first one, even giving it a feel. She was impressed. I also bought 2 balls of the Lang Pearl yarn, it’s also gorgeous. I think it’s destined for mittens. Then I picked up 2 sets of bamboo needles, on sale too, specifically for flying with. Shannon said “you’re bringing knitting on our trip??!?”.

Then I walked all the way home from Romni -4.3 kilometres. I didn’t really mean to but after I spotted the old man wearing an obvious wig, I was in a better mood and decided to enjoy the overcast day.

ok. i love that. you did a crochet version of it… care to share? i actually have some really awesome stuff i did recently that i need to post to my blog soon. i did some strawberries, carrots, a burger and fries set (with the works on the burger) and an apple that’s quartered but when you put it together it makes a whole apple. i think i may work up the patterns for them before i post, just in case.
