Shhhhh

By in a good day, daily grind

The fish continue to entertain me. I know this will sound terrible, but I think I love them more than I love Rose. Well, maybe not, but once they start letting me pat them, that will be true. I love how weirdly unpredictable they are: after the little red fish died, they didn’t eat at all for 2 days. Then the filter was cleaned and they cheered up and now their appetites seem insatiable. Yesterday I fed them in the morning (and the white fish was so excited she swam CRASH into the side of the pond), then gave them 2 snacks at night. TWO. Pigs. How did I know they were so hungry last night? We were watching my dance show and suddenly we heard SLOSH SLOSH SPLASH!!! Looked over, and there was what amounted to probably a large glass of water on the floor, 2 feet out. Hint hint.

Also, did you know fish nap? Me either. But they did yesterday, after a busy morning of…swimming and eating.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

How cute are they? I have to say, I’m no photographer, much less photo editor (especially compared to Shannon) but I love this picture and I am thinking about painting it.

I got nicer coffee for my French press: it’s a President’s Choice one, their West coast blend. Hot diggety, it’s some kind of good. LOVE it. It’s cheap and delicious, and I am worried that it will just disappear and I will have to go back to drinking less…good…coffee.

strong stuff

And yes, I made another cozy. If you want one, tell me, they’d be cheap.

Finally, on my way to work yesterday there were tons of cops lumping around Bloor and Lansdowne (not unusual, I guess) and when I got to the corner I saw this:

crrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrunch

I am assuming that the enormous crane truck was making a wide right turn and the dingaling in the Buick tried to squeeze through and got caught. Very cool.

I totally thought that a fish had jumped out… Not so much because of the splashing, but because of the SCREAM.

it really is too bad that you can’t cuddle with fish, I would definatly get some if you could!

  4. I love your fish.

Pfft. All that screaming you do, Shannon.

A girl I know started a website of pictures of hands patting animals. I am going to try to take one of me and Donna soon.

Little random question time: I buy the same kind of coffee but the while can ( normal roast i think ) because it is normal grin. All the others seems to be fine grind. So my question would be, is fine grind working well with your french press, not passing too much trough the screen? thanks :)

BTW i was watching Rome last night and everytime i see this acress she reminds me of you: http://www.discoverychannel.co.uk/dni-media/mu-5/media-4058-9180.jpg

i love that second picture.. not that your crochet cozy isn’t fan-freaking-tabulous – but that action figure over a pic of the lady of quadalupe (?) – omg, too funny… and why something that simple amuses me… well….

you’re inspiring me to get off my new mommy butt and finally update/overhaul my blog… i haven’t written in it since a few days before my due date.. and considering that eliah is 4 months old.. it’s probably time….

  9. Caitlin Jane says:

Marjorie: The coffee I drink is very thick, but not gritty. There’s always a schmear of black sludge at the bottom of my mug, but it’s fine.

Treyci: we got that wrestler in Mexico, at Shannon’s old real estate agent’s art gallery. I love it too! Glad I can inspire someone… :D

Thanks, mine has the black sludge at the bottom too anyway, so i’ll try the black can next time.
