Btw, my old job was as a manager of a bookstore, and those books are probably there because it’s best to stick all religious books in one section. It’s weird that they have it under reference but unless you make a specific religion section (unlikely within a kids’ section), the best bet is just to stick religion in somewhere with history and so on. People get offended no matter what but that brings the least offense.

I had an atheism display up and almost every day someone turned all the books around so no one else would see the covers. Like maybe people would convert to atheism just from looking at the covers?

Or they just gave birth and it’s the same thing. No one wants to go out and have fun anymore, but I never do either.

And I got totally screwed out of birthday nachos this year. Screwed!

Their first question was what religion I am, the second? Why I would do such things to myself.
Obviously not all… but the majority of religious extremists I’ve met, have been the most judgemental. A life of Jesus? I think many miss the real meaning entirely.

I gotta say I’m kinda bummed you guys aren’t expecting. Not for any real reason in particular other then being pregnant, you kinda want everyone else to be pregnant too. In more non-pregnant, realistic thoughts- You not being pregnant means we’ll have much more fun on future Toronto trips. ha.

I read an article on Rainn Wilson (yeah, that Rainn Wilson, from The Office)’s website about how most Athiests flip on their death beds and start praying. I found it somewhat offensive, true or not. Considering the entirely hypocritical lives most so-called Christians lead, comparatively it’s not that big a deal.

Well, I hate it. I really do. Also the lemming-like behaviour that keeps it going. Egads. In the NON fiction section? *revolts inwardly*

We also rolled white bread (minus crust) into balls and ate it. And other gross stuff.

Thanks, Donna! I do my best!

Happy Belated Birthday, Caitlin! Your posts never fail to bring sunshine to my day.
