I just got back from the briefest visit ever from Nicole. Please feel free to go to her shop and buy lots of stuff. She had a necklace for me that is so incredible, every detail of it is amazing, thanks Cole. I just need to figure out how it’s worn to show off all the lampwork beads.
On my way back upstairs (to the mess, mid move is hell) I dashed out back to the variety store and there was a little girl with a bucked of soap and a home made bubble blower. I happened to have my camera with me and she was happy to have her picture taken.
She said she’d made the soap herself, I do wonder what was in that bucket. When the giant bubble popped, the soap sat on the grass, almost like plastic wrap. It was so cool, I wish Ari had seen it!

Wow cool photo!
I miss playing with homemade bubbles.
I think I’ll make some and blow them off the balcony on the next sunshiney day.
I know, eh? Isn’t warm weather totally inspiring? I’m so psyched for spring, not just the move but I got a couple boxes of sidewalk chalk the other day, and we always have fun with that. And I bet, at the new place, people won’t be uptight about little kids armed with chalk writing everywhere.
And bubbles. We have a giant bottle of bubble mix that will be stored near the door for sure.

really cool and kind of dark miniature art
Just got home. WHEW!
As a kid I always made my bubble liquid with dish soap. It had the same kind of plastic-y gross aftermath too. Plus you have the cleanest grass EVER when it rains ;)
Necklace- you said long, no clasp. SO that’s what I did. wear it long with all 3 pieces in front or put it on, slide the button to the neck and wrap the rest around/tye for a short version. I thought maybe if you go swimming or something with it? It should pretty much hold up to anything you throw at it and is completely washable. I probably should have given you the sketches I made to work it out with so you had a better idea. Oops. Oh and I named that necklace “Storybox” how geeky is that?
ps. You got no picture, neener!
think of a variation on old cowboy ties- but wear it how ever you want. Long, short, wrapped around your wrist.. whatever, its supposed to be fun.
I know, about the picture, I took a couple but they didn’t do it justice, I need to get it outside and make it sparkle.
I wore it with all three parts in the front, low and long and tightened too. I also wore it with my hair pinned up and the clasp in the back, the danglers in the front. Also lovely.
The cord, you made that??? The whole thing is so incredible, even your packaging!
haha. I meant a picture of my tummy!
I’m glad you like it. I actually put quite a bit of time into trying to come up with something especially for you with your likes and wants in mind. Its hard to make somthing for someone specific in mind.
The cord, yeah- my first attempt. Its japanese weaving, I had to teach myself via online and made my own wheel out of cardboard. ha!
Grah! I had my camera with me too, but you got me all distracted!
You’re very talented, that’s all there is to it. I’ve never even heard of Japanese weaving, wtf? Now I have to look for it too, thanks!
