Ho!

By in a good day, haha, we have fun

Guess who I met today?

Ho Ho

Most of the time I dream about escaping this city and living on a farm on Cape Breton Island, but sometimes, like today at Bloor station, Santa was there with a polaroid elf, it makes me glad I live in a big city. I must have gotten to him at the exact right moment because later when I was gloating to a co-worker about it, she was bummed because the line was so long she missed out.

Ha ha! Or, ho ho!

Subway Santa. How awesome is that?

Well, for real, it set me up for a great day. Not even a blip!

  3. I hate living in a small city, we don’t have subways or Santas.

Yeah, but Meagan, do you have smelly people breathing down your neck and humping your leg surreptitiously on the subway? ‘Cause that’s one of the joys of big city living. You also can’t walk down the street these days without choking on someone’s cigarette smoke, thanks to the city wide (or is it province? Country?) ban on smoking indoors. In the winter snow is white for about 30 seconds, then it’s brown slop that wrecks hardwood floors and carpets everywhere. And the noise? It’s never quiet here, and we don’t see any stars at night….
I have a long list of positives too (great restaurants, pretty stellar public transit, friendly people everywhere, lots to see and do) just in case you think I am complaining too much!

  5. [...] Caitlin if I could make her a shirt for her blog, and she said, “sure, make one of me and subway Santa“… so I did and I liked how it truned out, only to find out she was only kidding. Muses [...]
