The zipper on my purse broke…2 weeks ago. I was worried every day that stuff would tumble out on the subway or worse, on the floor in a public washroom. I have been looking everywhere for a replacement (and really, I finally got it in my head that I was allowed a nice purse, one that cost more than $16) and I finally found one! At WalMart! Ha ha? It’s not very pretty but it’s a good shape and should last the winter and then I can worry about getting something nicer. Hopefully by then we will know exactly what the future holds.
The outside is pleather, I guess, and is the colour of mustard. Or cat vomit, depending on what you feed your cat. The inside and the top stitching is neon green. It was a whopping $19.99. I also got three new pair of underwear and 4 tank tops. The OP stuff is on sale, $4 for a tank, and they’re really cute.
Also, I bought a chocolate bar at the grocery store the other day for Shannon. I spied it while standing in line (ugh, the grocery store near where I work is the worst for lines, don’t ever go the the Metro at Yonge and Eglinton if your are even remotely in a hurry. I wouldn’t even bother with ice cream there, it would be melted by the time you leave) and laughed and laughed at the title. Upon closer inspection I realized it means “Big Moment”, but “Big Mo” threw me for a minute. Dale Jr is some kind of big ‘mo I guess.
It wasn’t very good-Shannon gave up after 2 squares, but I soldiered on and ate the rest.

I will investigate the name. Kevin is bound to know something.
Thanks Ali. You’re such a good sleuth!
You’re spot on with regard to the Yonge/Eg Metro. Even at 6 in the morning, I’ve seen lines.
There’s a really good green grocer on Yonge closer to Davisville though. It’s across from the St. Louis Bar & Grill. Great local produce and flowers.
Where in the store did you find the chocolate? It would make for a great gag gift for someone I know.
Danielle, it was right at the checkout at that Metro.
I think I know what grocery store you speak of, I wish I was a little closer to that one. There’s one north of Eg on Yonge, called Wing’s, and it sucks eggs. Their produce may be cheap but it’s on it’s very last legs. Ugh.
Cute purse! And that comes from an absolute purse-crazy and -savvy person.
My purse is also this cat vomit shade of mustard, but without the neat neon green stitching. I am big on the mustard colour.
Do you know my cat was actually sick tonight and it was that EXACT colour? He then was so distraught at losing his food so soon after eating it that he proceeded to eat it again!!
I am not entirely sure what I am getting at, but I suspect this means that my cat would love your purse?! I am also quite enamoured with it, despite not being much of a purse person.
It looked yellower at the store. It wasn’t til I got home that I realized how brown it was.
