I hadn’t been to the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in forever, so going with T today was a real treat. I love anything farm or farm related, so I was in heaven. Also, any fair that gives away so much free stuff that we had to hunt down an extra bag to carry our loot is good. And we had full bellies too. I think I scored 4 free rolls of toilet paper! Woo!
One of my favourite parts is the giant vegetable contest. Nothing like a 38 pound beet to make one’s day.
I could make a ton of pickled beets with that monster.
Above are giant carrot, crazy giant pumpkin and a huge something. I don’t know, it’s so warped, maybe kohlrabi? Haha, I really don’t know but it weighs 61 pounds, and that is big for whatever it is.
I also love the klansheep. They are so chill.
I wish Alpaca were friendlier. They don’t really like being patted. Maybe they are worried that their ‘do will get mussed. And whoever doesn’t love goats must be pure evil. Goats are the best things since sliced bread.
I love my job, I really do!
It wasn’t until you said that you love your job that I realized the “T” you were referring to wasn’t the old owner of Passage.
And yes, goats rock. There are some at the farm across the street that I go and feed. And a mini-donkey. Who is adorable.

Beet and orange salad sprinkled with fresh dill. Peel and segment the oranges, steam the beets in the pressure cooker on full pressure for 30 mins. Peel the beets chop them into cubes and combine the segmented oranges and beets in a bowl until the oranges turn bright red. Sprinkle with fresh dill.
Well, there’s a bit of a warm up to it actually, so it’s more like, hee hee hee hee hee haw hee HAW HEE HAW HEE HAW
Andy, that sounds good and I just ate breakfast. I love beets, omg, I really do. I do them with feta and that’s so yum too.

Are they called Klan sheep cause they are wearing the KKK uniforms? And why are the little Aryan sheep so “chill” :)
Those covers they wear always remind me of Grand Dragon robes. I always think, oh right, klansheep. The sheep covers are for judging-so they don’t get poo in their wool before the competition, I guess.
All sheep are chill, I think. The only one making a fuss was a sheep having her wool clipped. She was baaing up a storm with her tongue sticking out, it was cute.
Weird that ‘shorn’ gets the red spell check underline, but ‘baaing’ does not!
