So this won’t top the maggots in the kitchen rolling a couple balloons story, but it’s still pretty horrible:
Today, on the subway platform, a couple I see almost daily outside the bank near the corner of Yonge and Eglinton. She has a little doggy that isn’t terribly friendly to strangers and he sells the homeless paper. They are friendly enough. I have never seen them traveling before, and he was dragging a small suitcase with wheels. Something about it caught my eye, something moving inside it, visible in a open zipper. I looked closer…COCKROACHES!!!! Lots of ‘em! I quickly scurried away, like a cockroach would, out of fear. Then I got my wits about me and took a picture with my phone. So, yeah, it’s blurry and you can’t see anything gross, but trust me, there was probably a hundred bugs in the pocket and who knows how many more inside. Then I purposely sat as far away from that bag as I could…
Would it be possible to get bedbugs this way? I worry about stuff like that… :(
Thats’s just too horrible, I don’t know what to say,my brain is hurting with the how and why…
That’s just it. My initial reaction, if it were my suitcase, would be to shake them out. Well, my first reaction would be to BURN it, but wouldn’t shaking them out, if you had no other way to carry your gear, be an idea? Or are they his friends? His female companion has the doggie and he gets the roaches?
Ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew! What if he was recahing in to get his wallet and they all crawled on him? Oh god…
There is no way in HELL he could have NOT known they were in that pocket. Seriously, there’s something else going on here…
perhaps they got evicted and need to find a new cockroach hotel, or perhaps he is training them to do tricks. haha, but seriously, that is still gross.
Maybe they were in a container for a school project and it opened? I hope? Please let there be something logical about this.
I think it’s sad :(
I know the couple and I’ll be staying away from their bag from now on.
